A technical writer should not begin by claiming they have modeled their book on the style of Kernighan & Ritchie's The C Programming Language and then force the reader to slog through more than 400 pages of material.

K & R weighs in at 261 pages, and that includes the appendix covering the standard library.

You, sir, are no K & R.
